Also, if you think you messed up, you can search omnisphere in "This PC" and delete everything with omnisphere name in :C drive. It will make the updater more convenient. I recommend putting your downloaded crack in drive :D or any other drive then install everything as default (drive :C), as well as the STEAM folder. The Omnisphere, however, will show the version of 2.0 But when I reopen my DAW, I can use omnisphere just fine. Once you pasted the registration code in and activate, it might crash omnisphere or the DAW. Don't forget to patch as shown in the video before you generate the registration code. You should be able to successfully install omnisphere 2.0. To anyone who still have a problem, just follow the video guideline, step by step. Voila! At this point, everything should be properly set up, including all the patches and functionalities of the software. To complete the installation, replace the two Omnisphere VST files (one is a vst3, while the other is a dll) in the directory below with the ones found in the v2.8.5f folder you downloaded in step 5: C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\plug-ins\64bit.Install the "Spectrasonics Omnisphere v2.8.5f WIN-MAC-MORiA" folder that you downloaded from the website.Note that you should not use the Crack located within this folder simply skip it and refrain from attempting to crack it at this stage. ![]() Proceed to install "Spectrasonics Omnisphere 2 v2.0.3d" by following the instructions provided in the directory.Take the STEAM folder you obtained in the previous step and place it in the following directory: C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics.Within this folder, locate and extract another set of. If not there then sadly you would have to reinstall vst3 filesĬ:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 for the vst3 file(it should say Omnisphere.vst3)Ĭ:\Program Files\VstPlugIns for the. I've encountered this with a couple of different plug-ins at this point, so it is not specific to Spectrasonics.Ok so check if you have both the. In my case, thus far, it appears the reboot is all that is needed. It appears that, at least for some users, Logic Pro X in High Sierra will not scan new AU plugins after they are installed, not until either the deletion of a specific cache file (/Users//Library/Caches/AudioUnitCache/) or a system reboot, or both. However, after I restarted the DAW again this morning, Omnisphere is suddenly present in Logic. Fortunately I had my up-to-date STEAM folder on an external drive that had been moved to the new DAW, but since Omnisphere still wasn't showing up in Logic after creating the needed alias in the new system, I assumed there was something wrong with the main program install as well. it is just the data installer that fails. The main program installers for O1 and O2 both appear to work fine. (It is entirely possible they would have told me what I've learned on my own, but since it was over the weekend I had enough time to sleuth this out for myself.) This all happened this morning, so I expect that they are just busy or haven't gotten to my message yet.įYI, I've solved my problem without any help from Spectrasonics support. I have contacted Spectrasonics to get their take on what my options are, but haven't received any response. My question is: Does anyone know if the upgrade will in fact not work if I don't have the original on my machine? If so, the only solutions I can think of are (1) Downgrade to the old OS, upgrade to Omnisphere 2, reinstall the new OS.or (2) Buy Omnisphere new outright and just abandon the upgrade path. Since I can't reinstall the original then it seems that I'm stuck. (I should have checked the compatibility.live and learn.) I am happy to upgrade to Omnisphere 2, but their website states that the upgrade will not work correctly unless Omnisphere 1 is installed. What I didn't know was that Omnisphere 1 is not compatible with this update, so it got wiped from my machine. So I made a bit of a mistake this morning and I'm hoping for some helpful options in getting back up and running.Ī little background: After finishing up a scoring project I decided to go ahead and update my machine to Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra. ![]()
